

Welcome to Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy
Fall 2009 marked a new beginning for the Kunsmiller building, a spacious school crowning Harvey Park. KCAA serves students in grades K-12 and is one of the few public arts schools in the nation serving students in grades K-12. We are a Denver Public School magnet with 75% of our students from the Southwest Quadrant, and 25% of students from the rest of the district and beyond.
There are three gateways for entry at KCAA - Kindergarten, Sixth Grade and 9th Grade. All interested students must complete an application process in order to attend. Please access our Admissions tab for more detailed information on how to become a KCAA student.
KCAA provides a learning environment based on research that active learning, experiential investigation and integrated arts are vital for the development of higher level thinking and of the enthusiastic engagement inherent in lifelong learning.
